Who will be teaching my child?
£397 per student, per month over 12 months from Nov-Nov, cancel anytime, paid via direct debit.
A spot is secured once your first payment is made. We'll always tell you this clearly before you decide, so there's no pressure on the call itself, just something worth knowing if you're ready to go ahead quickly.
Most exam boards including Edexcel, AQA and NCFE.
Not at the moment but we are in the process of organising a specific GCSE Foundation and Higher maths course for Edexcel.
We teach the foundations of how mindset and psychology can affect stress, burnout and anxiety. From health, sleep to rewiring the brain, we set students up for life, not just their exams.
Your sessions will be taught by Aiysha who is the CEO and Founder of Ignite with Aiysh and The Learning Compass.
Aiysha has been working in the tutoring industry since 2017 and has worked with hundreds of students within group sessions and 1-2-1. She has recently completed a Masters in Psychology with the view of completing a pHD in Educational Psychology over the next year. Aiysha has helped students move up sets, achieve their Maths GCSEs and gain confidence in all skills for KS3.
Each student will receive personalised support and work adapted to their specific level and skillset.
We will be working from the CGP textbook so it will be very useful if your child has the physical copy of this. They are around £6/£7 and we will let you know which book this will be following the onboarding call.
It's a rolling monthly membership, running November to November. There's no fixed lock-in, and you can cancel anytime. To stop before your next payment, just let us know at least 14 days before your billing date (the 1st of each month) by emailing hello@ignitewithaiysh.co.uk.
Your access continues through whatever you've already paid for, and no further payments will be taken after that. If you cancel with less notice, that month's payment may still be taken.
The course itself naturally runs its full curriculum through to November — if your child hasn't finished by then, membership continues at the same rate until they have.
Please note: with only 6 students per group, we can't guarantee holding your spot if you cancel and want to rejoin later. Re-enrolment depends on space being available at the time.
Mainly ages 11-15 but older students who are still building their skills in KS3 are free to join.
No, anyone can join!
Sessions run on two of the following days, depending on your group placement: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays at 6:45pm. This is confirmed after your onboarding call.
Yes, light homework tied to that week's topic. Students self-mark it using the workbook's answer key. This builds independent checking skills, and your tutor reviews any common misunderstandings at the start of the next session.
If your student is receiving a lot of homework from school already, you can choose to opt out of homework.
Our mindset training is grounded in neuroscience and psychology. This includes how the brain physically rewires itself through practice, a term we refer to as neuroplasticity. We also teach how the nervous system responds to stress, and teach practical, evidence-based tools for building resilience and confidence. Every concept is taught in an age-appropriate, hands-on way, not just talked about.
Please mention it during your onboarding call, or reach out anytime. Our mindset coaching is built specifically with anxious students in mind. That said, our sessions are educational coaching, not clinical therapy or mental health treatment. If you're concerned your child may need clinical support, we'd always encourage speaking with your GP or school alongside our sessions, not instead of them.
The skills we teach: managing stress, building genuine confidence, and understanding your own mind, are not specific to maths or to school. They're the same tools that help with exams now, and with careers, relationships and challenges well beyond school. Most people don't encounter this kind of training until their forties or fifties; our students get a head start.
Every live session is recorded, so your child can catch up in their own time, especially useful for homeschooling families or anyone with a busy week.
