About Me
Thanks for being here. I’m Aiysha.
Here’s a little story…
"I'm not good enough." "I can't do it." "I'll never be good at this." "I'm going to fail." "I suck." "I'll never understand this."
The variations are endless. I've heard them hundreds of times, from hundreds of teenagers, over ten years of teaching.
But I've said these words myself, too. My grades weren't even that bad.
But low confidence, poor self-esteem, and a mental health struggle eventually became an anxiety diagnosis that shaped a lot of my life.
So I went on a mission. Alongside my love of tutoring and education, I studied psychology, buried myself in research, gained a Masters, became a brain coach and spent years testing personal tools, techniques and coping methods.
Through university, jobs, redundancies, a baby, and a lot of falling and getting back up. I'd like to think I've figured out what actually works. What sticks. How rewiring the way we think can let resilience take hold before anxiety does.
Having taught maths and English up to Foundation GCSE, I realised what I loved most wasn't the grades themselves: helping students see the potential that was already inside them. Once the belief took hold, the grades tended to follow on their own.
Now, while I work toward a doctorate in Educational Psychology, I get to do what matters most: based in my little corner of Twyford, helping students across Sonning, Woodley, Reading and Maidenhead drop the fear, build resilience, and grow into who they were always meant to be.
If this sounds like something you'd like to be part of, book a call with me here.
“Never apologise for who you are. It lets the whole world down”.
